Amazing Out of Africa Campaign exhibition launch event attended by Peter Odemwingie, Efe and Steven Sodje, Brendon Batson and Kim Grant.

Last night The Public in West Bromwich hosted the Out of Africa Campaign Exhibition launch. The event was attended by football stars past and present in a wonderful celebration and tribute to the work that had been done before them, by the pioneers of professional football from Africa.Kick it Out and Football Unites Racism Divides also attended the event that was opened by Kim Grant, Peter Odemwingie, Efe Sodje and The Worshipful Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Keith Davies.

The young people who have created the project were interviewed by local press and media, and discussed the learning journeys they have taken that have enabled their work to come to fruition and be displayed for all the specially invited guests who attended the event.

They explained that the next part of their journey is to complete the Schools Packs, educational packs that have been created to be work in line with the National Curriculum at Key Stage 2 & 3.

The event was attended by over 80 people who enjoyed the official opening of the exhibition and then watched the documentary that featured many interviews including ones with Andy Gray, Frank Skinnner, Charlton Athletic Manager Chris Powell, Spurs player Emmanuel Adebayour, Adel Taarabt from Queens Park Rangers and Victor Wanyama from Celtic.
